Unlike many legislators who are laid in state in Parliament when they die, Yusuf Nsubuga Nsambu, the former Makindye West MP, was not.
He was buried on Wednesday in Butambala after he died in the wee hours of the morning in Wandegeya at a private clinic.

Nsubuga who died at 80 years, was a Muslim, and a staunch Muslim at that. Following Islamic practice, he could not be buried beyond the day of his death.

Parliament needs some time to organize members to come together to pay their last respect for the former two time legislator, and Nsambu’s body couldn’t wait according to the practice of his religion.
