Government has dismissed reports that part of Uganda Wildlife Educational Centre(UWEC) land has been sold off.
This follows reports that an investor has been given a piece of land belonging to the centre for the construction of a hotel.
The minister for tourism ,wildlife and antiquities,Prof.Ephraim Kamuntu says that this should be treated as a mere rumour, denying any such move.
The Wildlife Educational Centre’s land title is preserved, right now we are even building a stretcher to the water that can increase your enjoyment of the water, how can we be doing all this structuring if we are to sell the land?”Prof. Kamuntu asked.
“Those saying that we are going to put a building and destroy the centre, that one forget it,it’s a rumour indeed.” He added.
