The government of Uganda has signed an agreement with the Jordanian government to allow export of labour to Jordan.
The minister for gender, labour and social development,Janet Mukwaya says agreement will also allow domestic workers to go and work in Jordan.
Early this year, the government of Uganda banned export of labour notably domestic workers to the middle East especially to Saudi Arabia following several reports of torture and mistreatment.
However, Mukwaya says they have decided to sign the agreement with Jordan because the conditions are alot more favorable.
