After becoming a success in Entebbe and Kampala, the organisers of Fish festival have decided to take the highly anticipated event to Jinja.
The fish affair is happening this Sunday 2, December at Forever Resort Jinja, next to the source of the Nile Bridge.
According to one of the organisers, Moses Bakora, during the big day fish lovers will eat until they drop not forgetting the soothing entertainment that will keep them relaxed throughout the event.
“The festival is a chance not only to try some delicious fish but also to learn more about their resources. Revelers will enjoy all types of fish like Nile perch, mukene, and tilapia, elephant snout just to mention but a few at pocket friendly charges,” said Bakora.
Bakora also noted that best women entrepreneurs in the fishing industry will be awarded.
“There will be awards to Women Entrepreneurs in fisheries; Women in fisheries business are required to share their success stories, how they started, challenges met and where they are, and the winners will be awarded with material support for their businesses equivalent to shs1 million,” he said.
Adding, “Schools will also participate in Blue economy quiz competitions, dance, music and art competitions and winners will be awarded,”
Entrance fee will be 5k for adults and Kids will enter for free.
The Festival is being organised by Perfect Events and Sponsored by GIZ – Responsible Fisheries Business Chain Project (RFBCP).
