The state minister for tourism Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi proved higher hopes to the nation in terms of gaining income from the equator.
While launching the “Tulambule equator tourism expo” at Kayabwe Masaka road during the weekend, Kiwanda said the equator is a big source of foreign revenue to the nation which cannot be under looked.
“I believe there are very many people who want to come and experience how it feels to be along the equator line,” said Kiwanda.
The minister continued to say that this year the government has invested heavily in tourism. It is on this note that he called upon all Ugandans to come and experience this one week expo that is booming.
”Not every country has the equator line. We should be proud of what we are.” stated Kiwanda.
The public relations officer of Think tank target limited Mr. Sekabira Andrew said that if Ugandans go on like this, the sky is the limit.
“I don’t see any barrier which can stop us from becoming rich if we move like this, “said Sekabira.
It is on this note that he thanked all Ugandans who took their time and supported them by taking part on the expo.
The expo is slated to take place for a full week where various activities including music dance and drummer as well exposing how beautiful Africa and Uganda in particular is to the world.
