With just few days to World Wildlife Day, today the highly anticipated Wildlife Marathon took place.
The Marathon warm up session was at Uganda Museum and it was led by Youth Minister, Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi who was also joined by Tourism Minister, Godfrey Kiwanda.
The Wildlife marathon was attended by many people especially tourism lovers and it was characterized by glamour, ecstasy and pomp.
World Wildlife Day is celebrated annually on 3,March.
This day is an opportunity to celebrate Uganda’s Wild Fauna and flora and raise awareness of the multitude of benefits that conservation provides to people.
This year’s global theme is ‘Listen to the young voices’ and the national theme is ‘Mainstreaming the youth in Wildlife conservation’.
