Minister of Tourism, wildlife and Antiquities, Ephraim Kamuntu has today Launched 2017 as a year of Tourism and Conservation.

Speaking at Media Centre in Kampala, Kamuntu said Uganda is ranked number one tourism destination in Africa and number four across the Globe.

He added that Uganda is gifted with beautiful sceneries, flora and fauna and more than 40 tribes that make up the Pearl.

“Let’s embrace this, we are the people to tell our own story,” the minister said.

Also present were Godfrey Kiwanda state minister for tourism who has popularized the Tulambule campaign which tour Ugandans around the country, and deputy CEO for Uganda tourism board John Ssempebwa.
