Top Radio presenter Richard Kasule also known as Kamagu who was arrested on Monday morning could spend another night in jail.

Police say Kamagu who was arrested and detained at Wandegeya police station will not be released on bond as his bosses failed to show up to record additional statements.

Luke Owesigire, the spokesman of Kampala metropolitan police says the bosses of Kamagu didn’t cooperate with the police and he will therefore be taken to court to answer to charges of incitement.

Robert Sempala of the Human Rights Network for Journalists said on Monday that Kamagu was arrested at Top Radio soon after presenting his morning show known as Simbula.

Recently Top Radio management announced that it will not be hosting opposition politicians on air. The radio is owned by a pastor called Jackson Senyonga who runs the Christian Life Centre church in Makerere near Bwaise.
