Makerere university management has dismissed allegations of financial mismanagement that have been circulated in the media. The vice chancellor for Finance, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe sas the University like other public institutions is audited annually by the auditor general and the reports are submitted to Parliament then open to public scrutiny

The state minister for veteran Affairs Maj. bright Rwamirama is seeking cabinet approval for the loan to clear the huge debt of former service men stretching from the colonial days to date. National council for sports has advised rival football groups to resolve their differences and allow one association to get a certificate of recognition to run the sport or Gov’t will take over National football teams. National council for sports chairman Bosco Onyik made the remarks while addressing 28 national associations federations that have officially registered with the governing body at a workshop at their offices in Lugogo on Tuesday.
Russia quits international criminal court
Russia will withdraw from the ICC under a directive signed by President Putin according to a statement released Wednesday from the Russian Legal Information Agency. The President Instructed his ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the UN Secretary General that Russia no longer intends to become a state party to the Rome Statute of the ICC.
