All is set for MOSAC Rally in Kapeeka, Luwero District after scrutineering on Friday, November 29 at Shell Lugogo that saw 37 rally teams confirmed participants.
Tension is building between National Rally Championship chasers Yassin Nasser in his Subaru GVB and the 2015 NRC champion Arthur Blick jr in his Mitsubishi Evox. This is the finale and decider event on the calendar that shall cover a distance of 161.75km (competitive) and 126.30km (liaison) .
Andrew Wasswa and Charles Lubowa are the rout openers in their Subaru Impreza and a minimum of two minutes interval is accorded per vehicle flag off from the service center.
Yassin Nasser currently has a 35 points lead over Arthur Blick jr and between the two shall be the 2019 NRC champion on Sunday. A win for Nasser in Kapeeka guarantees him the crown while Blick’s win, accompanied by Nasser’s failure to finish on the podium will see him clinch a second championship.
Blick, who won two and secured two podium finishes was disadvantaged by a mechanical problem in the Central Motor Club Rally in Mukono.
Nasser on the other hand has been pushed by a magical performance especially in Shell VPower Pearl of Africa Rally where he finished 2nd in ARC category and 1st in NRC in addition to ability of his Machine to compete and successfully complete all events.
Speaking to Watchdog Uganda, Nasser said his machine is mechanically fit enough to win the rally and secure his maiden NRC.
Blick on his side praised his rally team for pushing him up to the wire but laid all in the hands of God who he says knows better what shall come out from Luwero.

1.Yassin Nasser- 420 points
2.Arthur Blick- 385 Points
3.Ssebuguzi Ronald-300 Points
4.Hassan Aliw – 260 Points
