Proline FC has officially granted release to two forwards Ivan Bogere and Edrisa Lubega to look for greener pastures ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.
It should be remembered that Bogere last appeared in the club’s camp during the 2-1 home win over Sc Kigali in the CAF confederations cup and he had taken a French leave with out the club’s Knowledge. He was instrumental in his few appearances in this continental tournament scoring a hat-trick on his debut and a brace as Proline knocked out Rwanda’s AS Kigali in the next round.
In the 13th December 2019 letter, William Bakkabulindi the club CEO said Bogere’s agent had approached Proline FC and told the club that the player was waiting for trials in a club outside Uganda name withheld and he would wish to join it if the trials were successful.
Speaking to watchdog Uganda, Bakkabulindi said they gave a go forward to Bogere’s agent to pursue the deal for the player although he said they are yet to know which club it might be.
Reliable sources show that the player left for Dubai’s SC Al-Nasr.
The CEO also said that their striker Lubega shall be traveling next week to Estonia to join Paide Linnameeskod fc for a two years loan deal.
Paide fc is sitting fourth in the ten club’s Estonia Meistriliiga log with 74 points 16 behind the table leaders Flora fc.
“ For us we don’t block players’ chances, when you show interest to leave, we allow you and groom new talents though it is indiscipline to go absent with out apology. The player and the agent understood it and contacted us and we came to an understanding, we wish these players good luck,”Bakkabulindi said.
Proline FC concluded the first round of the Star Times Uganda Premier League at the worst note losing 4-0 to KCCA fc and are sitting bottom of the 16 clubs’ log with 9 points from 15 matches 6 points behind relegation survival.
