Ndejje University host Kirinya Jinja SS at the Arena of Visions in Bombo in the ‘schools derby’, with both sides looking to put a hold on their recent slump in form.
New comers Ndejje University have found life in the top flight hard losing three consecutive games and conceding a worrying 10 goals. In all this, they have scored just once and picked up three points from a possible 15 in the last five league games.
On the other end, Kirinya Jinja SS head coach Ayiekoh Charles has been instrumental in ensuring the Jinja-based side’s league status changes from ‘relegation fighters’ to one of the ‘hard to beat teams’ in the division.
Little wonder he is constantly being linked to a number of top flight clubs.
Kirinya have momentum going into this fixture as they have lost twice in eight but it’s their failure to finish off games they should be winning that is worrying.
Ndejje’s Alex Komaketch is still searching for answers for his side’s defensive woes as they have easily been leaking goals, a trend that does not seem to end in the near future.
Komaketch will be buoyed by his side’s home form as they have picked up all their points at home while keeping clean sheets in both wins and have put on worthy performances in front of their fans at the Arena of visions.
But Ayiekoh’s team are not easy push overs in regards to their away form as they have picked up two wins and a worthy draw against KCCA on the road their only blemish being the 4-1 drubbing against Bright stars.
Joel Madondo who was voted player of the month for October will be seeking to add to his six goals so far while Fred Amaku and David Bagoole will be tasked to help Madondo in attack. Isaac Isinde should start in defence after his Cranes exploits.
It remains to be seen if Ayiekoh will keep faith in youngsters; central midfielder Ngondwe Elvis and Tezikya Lawrence who have just been promoted to the senior team.
Komaketch will again look to former KCCA forward Noel Nasasira for goals with Deboss Kalama, who looked impressive against Onduparaka, and Male Farook the supporting cast. Erick Kimbowa who made his debut against Onduparaka may retake his spot on the bench
This will be the first meeting between the two sides in the top flight and a win will help lift confidence at Ndejje before hard games against KCCA and SC Villa.
