Vipers Sports Club 18-man squad has left for Sudan safely of their first leg of CAF Champions League encounter against giants Al Merreikh.
Vipers, who won the 2017/2018 Uganda Premier League will represent the country in the continental club competition and will begin their campaign away in Khartoum on Wednesday, November 28.
The travelling party features two goal keepers, six defenders, six midfielders and four forwards. Is expected to leave the country during the early hours of Tuesday morning abode Ethiopian Airlines.
With top choice goalkeeper Fabien Mutombola out with injury, deputies Bashir Sekagya and Derrick Ochan will be called in to replace him.

Speaking ahead of the game, manager Martinez Espinoza said that the team will be seeking for a positive result in Khartoum and he believes his charges are capable of getting the result.
“We go into this game seeking for a good result away in Khartoum. It is important that we won our last league game therefore we go into this game with our spirits high. The players are in good shape and ready to fight for a positive result,” Martinez told the club’s website.
