Colossal She Cranes figure and Skipper has counted herself out of the upcoming African Netball Championships which kick off later this month in Cape Town, South Africa.
The lanky shooter is recovering from a niggling knee injured while plying her trade with Australian outfit Sunshine Coast Lightning.
“I will be unable to join the rest of the side as I am undergoing treatment of my knee,” said.
Proscovia was a key part of jig saw when Uganda ran away with the 2017 and 2018 African Netball Championships. It’s obviously going to be a tall order when the unit which started training kicks off their title defence without her although she remains positive.
The likes of Lilian Ajio, Jesca Achan, Ruth Meeme, Betty Kizza, Racheal Nanyonga and Sylivia Nanyonga will have to dig deeper to fill Proscovia’s void.
Uganda is pitted against Zimbabwe, Kenya and Swaziland in pool B for the continental showpiece while Africa’s number one seed South Africa find themselves drawn in pool A with Malawi, Zambia, Lesotho and Tanzania
