This week, I was headed back to Hull after my class at York Uni. I was tired, I was seated at the very front of the upper compartment of the double decker bus, next to me was an older British couple, on the other side. I could not see much because it was raining (I am used to it by now). I kept wiping glass so that I could see with my hand, then the older white woman got up at some point and came towards me.
‘Let me wipe that for you.’
She had a small piece of cloth and she wiped the fog of my window.
She said a lot of nice words and I was appreciative.
Later as they got of at Beverly she said goodbye and see you later.
Random deeds of kindness from strangers really melt my heart and for me I would rather concentrate on the kind people off this world who make my life amazing than complain.
Now tomorrow is a new day, smile at someone, be kind. You have no idea the kind of imprint you will leave in their lives.
