Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament Betty Nambooze Bakireke has today been taken by an ambulance to CID Headquarters in Kibuli to fulfill the conditions of the police bond she was given recently.

Nambooze was picked from her residence at Kavule village found in Mukono Municipality.

While in ambulance Nambooze said that she was advised by her lawyer to report by herself at Kibuli rather than sending her personal assistant Arthur Mugabi.

She narrates that her health condition is not good but because police demanded her to report in person that’s why she decided to get an ambulance to transport her.

Nambooze said she is not worried of facing police arguing that she is not a criminal as she is being portrayed by government.

Apparently, her file is ready and she is going to be taken to court in Nakawa .

She is accompanied by her lawyer Erias Lukwago, husband Henry Bakireke, and Councillor Ibrahim Ssegirinya, among others.

Nambooze was arrested in June and later hospitalized at Kiruddu Hospital following a deteriorating health condition.

The legislator is one of four people who were put under investigations for their communication on social media before and after the death of Arua municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga and his brother Saidi Butele Kongo.

She is implicated by a video recorded by NTV during the age limit debate.

In the video, Nambooze explained how easy it was to attack Abiriga even with his bodyguards all around him.
