Peter Sematimba has sacked all female reporters and anchors from his Lubaga based Supa FM.
Word reaching our News Desk indicates that the pastor turned politician showed the exit door the ladies in the news department citing hard economic times.
Sematimba, the MP for Busiro South, has had a rough political ride which has also have weighed hard on his business fortunes.
However, some voices from Rubaga say Sematimba was targeting the daughter of once his close ally Mulindwa Muwonge with whom he fell out bitterly a couple of years ago. Mulindwa who was one of the leading voices at Supa FM but had started out at CBS when Sematimba was its first managing director, left behind his daughter Jamila Namuyiga at Supa when he joined Star FM at Uganda Broadcasting Corporation. Jamila was a news anchor and was apparently in good books with Sematimba when her dad fell out with their boss.
However, in recent times Sematimba and Jamila relationship hit rock bottom. However, he would not let her go without raising dust.
He therefore decided to let all ladies in the news department go together with Jamila, saying, he didn’t have enough money to pay them.
