Three taxi drivers who robbed Shs44.7m from Agnes Nakyejwe, the  manager of Coca-Cola depot at Abaita Ababiri town, in Wakiso district have been convicted and sentenced to 4 years and 6 months to Kigo prison.
The convicts are Mohamed Mugenyi, Allan Aliseka and Isaac Lutaaya.
Court presided over by Entebbe Grade one Magistrate Juliana Kimono found them guilty of committing robbery and abduction.

The Magistrate told court that prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that the convicts robbed Shs44.7m from the victim who was
beaten and kidnapped, with threats to kill her.

On 5 October 2015 at Abaita Ababiri stage, the convicts who were driving a tinted taxi registration number UAU 500Q
abducted the victim at Abaita Ababiri stage and blindfolded her before  diverting her destination to their desired one. It’s said the victim  boarded convicts’ taxi and headed to Stanbic Bank Entebbe Branch to  deposit the cash but unfortunately along the way the convicts  turned against her and snatched her handbag which contained Shs44.7m, a Samsung phone and office keys.
