The Uganda Local Government Association (ULGA) has asked government to implement programs meant to increase service delivery at grassroot level.
According to ULGA, compliance at all levels must be exhibited. Only 30 percent of the programs put in place are implemented which hinders the government’s effort to deliver quality service to the community.
The Association warns that if sector ministries continue disrespecting the agreements, programs set will not be implemented by the local government authorities.
“If sector ministries continue disrespecting the agreements that we executive, we are more than ready to boycott implementations of their programs at local government level,” one of ULGA officials said.
