Uganda being an agricultural country necessitates us to invest heavily in Agriculture. Those are some of the words spoken by the prime minister of Uganda, Dr Ruhakana Rugunda during the closure of the economic summit that took place at imperial Royal hotel Kampala.

Dr Rugunda said that Uganda is naturally blessed with industries which rely on agricultural raw materials, so to sustain them, we must invest heavily in agricultural inputs and this shall help many Ugandans to fight poverty.

The premier continued to clarify that government has played its major roles in providing security, infrastructures like roads, electricity and many more.

Hellen Hai, the UNDO Goodwill ambassador for industrialisation in Africa says that among the few things Uganda is lacking are international Know how, where people who have experienced what global change is, exchange ideas with the local peasants for a developing nation.
