Detained Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze has been rushed to Kiruddu Hospital in Makindye by police authorities as her health condition deteriorated.

The development has been revealed by Kampala City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago via social media.

He posted, “Our sister, Hon Nambooze has just been rushed to Kiruddu Hospital in Makindye Division by the Police authorities as her health condition was deteriorating further,”
Nambooze was on Thursday pulled out from her hospital bed in Mukono and summoned to SIU in Kireka from where she was taken back Naggalama where a day before she had been given police bond to June 19.

Nambooze is one of four people who were on Monday put under investigations for their communication on social media before and after the death of Arua municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga and his brother Saidi Butele Kongo last week on Friday.

She is implicated by a video recorded by NTV during the age limit debate has been circulating on social media. In the video, Nambooze explains how easy it is to attack Abiriga even with his bodyguards all around him.

CID spokesperson Vicent Ssekate says she has more fresh cases to answer, which might delay her release after Museveni said suspects should not be given bail.
