Anti terrorism police has this evening re-arrested Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbeere, the king of the Rwenzururu, only a few hours after the High Court judge released him on bail.

The nasty incident which has abuse to the rule of law written all over it, is not unprecedented as the state has prior kidnapped people released by court.

The judge said she was convinced Mumbeere would obey bail conditions and had grounds for being bailed out.

Mumbeere was arrested on November 29, 2016 and taken to Nalufenya in Jinja after security clashed with his royal guards culminating in the death of over 100 people.
