Primary seven candidates begin their final Primary Leaving Examinations today throughout the country.
Over 640,000 pupils are expected to sit for their exams in 12,391 centres,311,511 of the candidates are male while 329,340 are female.
The Uganda National  Examination Board Executive secretary, Daniel Odong says a total of 114 district monitors and 9,216 scouts have been deployed and non specified security personnel who will operate convently or covertly to ensure smooth running of the exercise.
He has warned schools of acts of examination malpractice.
The candidates begin with Mathematics paper in the morning followed by social studies in the afternoon.Then tomorrow morning they will write their science paper winding up with English in the afternoon.
