Mzee Boniface Byanyima, an outstanding citizen of Uganda and former Democratic Party (DP) chairman is going to be taken to parliament tomorrow Friday for MPs to pay their last tribute.

Byanyima passed on at the beginning of this week on Tuesday morning 16th may at Nakasero hospital at the age of 97.

Byanyima, was at some point a guardian and teacher to young Yoweri Museveni, has also been an instrumental citizen in Uganda and a key player in the politics of Uganda.

Mzee Byanyima’s casket will be taken to the parliament on Friday 19th at 12Noon for viewing and later tributes then on Saturday 20th there will be a funeral service at 8am at Namirembe Cathedral.

On Saturday 20th at 6pm there will be a requiem mass at his home in Ruti Mbarara district and then Sunday 21st an ecumenical service at 10am then buried at 2pm.
