This year’s Corporate Beach Soccer has just got more exciting after the most exuberant team registered for the fun tournament in Entebbe on December 10.
The Uganda Online Publishers Association headed by Chimpreports CEO Giles Muhame, is fronting a team which has scared other participants. The association has over 30 media firms 30 doing their businesses online.
The event attracts over 30 teams and a crowd of more 3,000 fans at the beach. Among teams registered for this year’s tournament include MTN, Riham, Movit, Monitor Publications, Vision Group, NBS, Fresh Diary, CAA, Radiant, MUBS, Kampala Water, Star Cafe, SMS One, OMOA-Uganda, among others.
Ms Betty Aliba, the coordinator of the tournament says corporate beach soccer at the end of the year was the best way “Corporate brands/ members get an opportunity to network, celebrate the long year business achievements, challenges and look forward to a better new year.”
She adds that the tournament also showcases Entebbe beaches as the best regional tourism destination.
Corporate beach soccer encourages each team to have two ladies for every team of five on the field. It is played barefoot.
