The National Resistance Movement (NRM) secretariat is set to undergo restructure in order to improve service delivery.

While speaking to the Central region NRM women’s league leaders conference at London College of St Lawrence on Tuesday, NRM Secretary General, Justine Kasule Lumumba noted out that NRM secretariat needs professionals who can handle the work of the party professionally and implement the party’s manifesto.

“Of course we are going to lay off some workers and the process has already started but we shall first look at those who have failed to perform. We shall remain with the hard working people,” Lumumba said adding that she wants to remain with a small but efficient well paid team adding that she will stop the business of some bosses at the secretariat bringing their relatives to do party work.

Lumumba further emphasized that under the NRM social and economic transformation, the government is just responsible for putting in place an environment that allows people to work which NRM has done.
