In a plot twist no one saw coming, Uganda’s Chief of Defense Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, took a break from his usual weekend social media antics to drop a romantic bombshell early this morning. Forget politics, national security, or border disputes, today, it’s all about beauty, or, as Muhoozi sees it, the beauty of Kenyan girls, and, well, the lack of it when it comes to the boys.
The first son and leader of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) turned his X account into a dating forum, reminiscing about his childhood in Kenya. “Kenya is my second home,” Muhoozi declared, with a fondness that could melt hearts. “I remember how pretty the girls were and how they all loved me. I also remember how ugly the boys were. Ruhanga wangye!”
As they say, when you throw a bone to a hungry dog, don’t be surprised if the village joins the feast. Netizens, as always, were quick to pick sides. Some hailed Muhoozi as the “King of Twitter,” applauding his unmatched ability to entertain. “He’s like a full-time comedian, part-time General,” one fan commented. Others weren’t so amused, slamming him for being, as they put it, “a high-ranking official who’s always stuck in weekend mode.”
Of course, who could forget the infamous crush Kenya in two days saga? Back then, Muhoozi nearly sparked a regional WWE showdown between Uganda and Kenya with a bold, eyebrow-raising tweet. Thankfully, President Museveni had to put out the fire with an apology quicker than a chicken crosses the road to avoid being dinner.
As the dust settles on today’s drama, one thing’s for sure, Muhoozi knows how to keep Ugandans entertained. After all, as the wise say, “Even the monkey falls from the tree when it tries to juggle too much!” Let’s hope the General keeps his balance, because Uganda’s got enough entertainment without needing a romantic comedy sequel anytime soon!
