The Deputy Resident City Commissioner in charge of Northern Division in Jinja City Hamis Kiganira has said President Yoweri Museveni is a God-commissioned leader to champion Pan-Africanism and Patriotism in Uganda and Africa as a whole.

Kiganira, 47, describes President Museveni as the portrait of Pan Africanism owing to his long-standing commitment to the princi,,ples.

The Deputy RCC made the commendation in his co,,,,

mngratulatory message to President Museveni, who celebrated his 80th birthday anniversary over the weekend when millions of Ugandans joined in wishing him good health and more years.

“…Your Excellency, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, I join the nation in celebrating your remarkable 80th birthday. As my appointing authority, I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve under your visionary leadership. Your tireless efforts to transform Uganda are a testament to your unwavering dedication to our great nation and continent…” the deputy RCC remarks.

Kiganira stresses the importance of patriotism and Pan-Africanism in achieving prosperity and social-economic transformation in Uganda and Africa as a whole and urged Ugandans to continue embracing the ideals Museveni advocates and stands for.

As a strong advocate for Pan-Africanism, he says President Museveni has worked tirelessly to promote African unity and cooperation, adding he has been a key player in reviving the East African Community (EAC) and consolidating the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), and other regional integration blocs.

“…his vision for a united and prosperous Africa is built on the principles of patriotism, where Africans prioritize their own interests, seek local solutions, and work together to achieve common goals…”, the Deputy RCC adds.

He says President Museveni’s patriotism is evident in his commitment to Uganda’s development and that he has implemented policies aimed at promoting economic growth, improving healthcare, and enhancing education.

His leadership has also focused on promoting national unity and stability, essential for economic development and social progress.

Kiganira’s admiration for Museveni’s leadership style and ideology is shared by many. Museveni’s endorsement of Kenyan Raila Odinga’s candidacy for the African Union Commission chairmanship is a testament to his commitment to Pan-Africanism.

By supporting like-minded leaders, Kiganira says Museveni aims to foster a sense of unity and cooperation among African nations.

Overall, Kiganira’s praise for Museveni as the portrait of Pan-Africanism and Patriotism reflects President Museveni’s unwavering dedication to these principles and his tireless efforts to promote African unity and prosperity.

“…Under your guidance, Uganda has experienced significant growth and development, and I am proud to be playing a small part in this journey, from restoring stability to driving socioeconomic transformation. Your impact is undeniable…”, he says.

Reflecting on his own journey, from humble beginnings as a local village NRM leader at Namulesa and Mafubira sub county LC3 chairman to the current role as Deputy Resident City Commissioner Northern Division in Jinja City, Kiganira says he always gets reminded of the trust that President Museveni has placed in him.

He says President Museveni’s leadership has inspired him to work tirelessly for the betterment of the people entrusted under his administration toward socio-economic transformation in line with the NRM manifesto.

“…I now pray for many more years of wisdom, good health, and continued success in all your endeavours. May your birthday be filled with joy, love, and the appreciation of the countless lives you have touched…”, Kiganira prays.

Hamis Kiganira, an ardent supporter and admirer of Museveni, in his message, noted that the nationwide celebrations exhibited by Ugandans, especially the bazukulu reflect the love and patriotism Ugandans have for the president’s transformative work.

Now, Kiganira’s focus is on combating crime and insecurity in the Northern Division, where hundreds of ghetto youth need integration into government programs.

His commitment to Museveni’s vision and the NRM party is unwavering, driven by a desire to see Uganda prosper.

Under Museveni’s leadership, Uganda has experienced significant growth and development.

His government’s successful campaign against AIDS, for instance, has made Uganda a rare success story in the global fight against the virus. Museveni’s presidency has also been marked by efforts to promote economic recovery, restore security, and respect human rights.

As Kiganira and many Ugandans celebrate Museveni’s 80th birthday, they honour not only his longevity but also his enduring legacy as a leader who has shaped Uganda’s history.

Kiganira has pledged to restore security in the Northern Division, which has been declared as a dark spot for suspected criminal elements and drug addicts who have always terrorized residents.

He promises to work closely with key stakeholders like security agencies (the police, crime intelligence, military, and the village leaders) to sensitize residents so that they live in a crime-free environment.

Kiganira also promises to deepen people’s understanding of key anti-poverty programmes like Emyooga and PDM, alongside education and health so that citizens can improve on their standard of living.

Born on 7th July 1977, Hamis Kiganira is happily married to three beautiful wives with dozens of children who are leading decent lives and studying in reputable schools in the region.
