Firebrand opposition MP and outspoken critic of President Museveni, Hon. Ssemujju Nganda, has once again launched a verbal barrage against the president’s cabinet choices. In his usual fearless and no-holds-barred style, Ssemujju didn’t mince words, questioning the competence of some of the most powerful figures in Museveni’s government.
During a fiery political show earlier today, Ssemujju singled out three key cabinet muscles, Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, Vice President Jessica Alupo, and Speaker of Parliament Anita Among as examples of what he described as a group of “extremely vulnerable” individuals placed in positions of power. According to the Kira Municipality MP, none of these figures are offering any meaningful advice to the president.
“None of these people can give Museveni real advice! He knows that!” Ssemujju declared, waving his hand dismissively. His scathing comments gained momentum as he pointed to a recent cabinet retreat, where Museveni was supposed to chair. However, the president had other private engagements to attend to. Instead of assigning the meeting to any of the three senior cabinet members, Museveni delegated the role to his wife, Janet Museveni, who also serves as the Minister of Education.
“Ask yourself why Museveni didn’t let Nabbanja, Alupo, or Among take over. Why? Because he knows they can only salute him and rush to implement orders! They can’t lead!” Ssemujju charged, his words landing like verbal punches.
The controversial comments have stirred debate among political pundits and Ugandans alike, with some praising Ssemujju’s boldness, while others argue he’s simply stoking the flames of division.
While his remarks have yet to receive any official response from those named, Ssemujju Nganda remains a thorn in the side of the establishment, determined to shine a spotlight on what he views as an ineffective and useless cabinet.
