Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba, the Rubanda District LC.5 Chairman, has cautioned married men against concealing their finances from their wives, emphasizing that this practice hinders development at home. Kasyaba made these remarks while attending the wedding ceremony of Ezekiel Turyabasinguzi and Promise Ayebare in Kabindi Village, Nyamiyaga Parish, Bubare Subcounty.
“By choosing your wife, you’ve demonstrated trust in her. Extend that trust to your finances as well, and you’ll see your home flourish,” Kasyaba advised the groom.
However, Kasyaba also urged women to avoid preventing their husbands from sharing their earnings with other community members. He argued that sharing generates “social capital,” essential for the future of each society member.
In related news, Bubare Town Council LC.5 Councilor Obed Mutatiina Kitabutuka announced that a piped water project is underway for Nyamiyaga and Kashenyi parishes, thanks to strategic lobbying from area MP and State Minister of Finance, Henry Musasizi. The project’s water tank has been constructed in Rwere Cell.
Additionally, Minister Musasizi revealed plans for a mega water project covering Nangara Parish in Nyamweru Subcounty, as well as Kagarama and Kibuzigye parishes in Greater Bubare Subcounty. The project, valued at Shs. 72 billion, will also extend clean water to areas of Bugarama parish in Buhara Subcounty, Kabale District. Musasizi confirmed that all necessary paperwork has been completed, and the government is now seeking funding for the project.
