The Fort Portal central division Deputy Resident City Commissioner Businge Emmanuel has urged the new City Service Commission members to serve with integrity.
Mr Businge made the call on Thursday as he witnessed the swearing in of the pioneer commission members headed by PatrickRwebembera .
The Chief Magistrate His worship Kule Moses presided over the function that involved administering Oaths as required by the 1995 constitution of the Republic of Uganda before assumption of office by members of the service commission.
In his address ,the deputy RCC expressed confidence that the people proposed by the political wing and confirmed by the line ministry of public service will deliver to the expectation of the people given their proven track record.
Mr Businge cautioned the member to mind about their integrity given the fact that they are senior citizens.
Being retired,he observed that they are in the evenings of their lives and therefore would not have time to regain the integrity if lost inline of their duties.
“Guard your integrity jealously,”he emphasized.
The DRCC further reminded the commissioners,the politicians and the technical wing to preserve the image of the City by serving with diligence . He concluded by asking the Mayor to expedite the exercise of having the commission fully constituted since two positions are yet to be filled.
