Kole Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Trevor Solomon Baleke has tasked Gombolola Internal Security Officers (GISOs) in the district to keep their eyes on all government programs being implemented in their respective areas of jurisdiction.
Mr. Baleke told the GISOs that shoddy work, poor quality service delivery can lead to insecurity which the officers must not allow to happen.
“I am not hear to sit in this office. I am here to monitor government programs, ensure accountability and quality service delivery. Once we join hands and make sure that government programs are being implemented the right way, we shall have done our party,” he said.
Mr. Baleke made the remarks on Wednesday afternoon while meeting all GISOs from the 11 sub counties and town councils of Kole.
He said he was in the district to serve all area residents irrespective of their social classes.
“I come from the village. I know what people down there deserve and how they feel when things do not move the right way. Women, Youth, elderly and everyone should benefit from the available government programs and civil servants have to do their work,” he said.
Mr Baleke who on Tuesday went to Aboke Heath Centre IV in Aboke Sub county on an impromptu visit told the GISOs that, “I am coming to your sub counties to visit the health centre IIIs and see what is happening. I will talk to the personnel there but also shall listen to the concerns of our people in those villages. We shall meet with the Health Management Committee to ensure the concerns of both the personnel and the citizens are handled,” he said.
