The New Kagadi Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) , Benjamin Tumusiime has intensified close monitoring and supervision of government programs in various sub-counties of the district.
Tumusiime who was deployed to work in Kagadi district last month, started executing his duties by monitoring government programs to ascertain if they are helping the intended beneficiaries.
Some of the government projects monitored and supervised included St. Peter’s Primary school in Nyakatojo village in Mpefu sub-county, Waihembe Primary School and the completion of Wabinyama borehole in Mpefu sub-county Buyaga West constituency.
In his findings Tumusiime, found out that the contractors of the completed classroom blocks, school structures and boreholes were done as expected and there was value for money. He asked sub-county authorities at various sub-counties particularly school head teachers and inspector of schools to help in the monitoring of the school projects.
In his supervision and monitoring exercise, Tumusiime officiated the handover of two motorcycles worth sh17m each to Veterinary health officers of Bwikara sub-county for health surveillance in animal health, disease surveillance.
He also urged beneficiaries to put the facilities to effective use for quick service delivery and community monitoring as well as easy transportation of health workers and sub-county officials while monitoring and supervising government program.
