The Ntungamo District Woman MP Joselyn Bata Kamateneti has implored women to always bless and pray for their husbands while rushing for daily activities.
Hon Kamateneti observed that men will not earn anything when women who stay at home are gnashing teeth against their husbands.
She made remarks over the weekend during the handover of the leaders of Ntungamo Municipality Butchers Association held at Home to Home Hotel Ntungamo Municipality.
Hon Kamateneti further asked the leaders of the groups to advocate for accountability and transparency such that groups can survive collapse.
She hailed the founders of Ntungamo Municipality Butchers Association for being visionary to start the association but challenged them to extend its membership to other sub- counties and town councils.
The chairman LCV Ntungamo District Mucunguzi Samuel Rwakigoba appealed to leaders to cooperate as only the way to maximize development of their jurisdiction.
Mucunguzi pledged the district’s commitment to support groups and associations in order to eliminate poverty at the household levels.
Mugisha Robert Kanyate, the chairman of Central Division, asked people to embrace government programs such as Parish Development Model and Emyooga.
The outgoing chairman Kaana Mukungu tasked the new leadership to exhibit the zeal and owns their association for it to succeed.
The incoming chairman Ntungamo Municipality Butchers Association Mugume Elias commended the members for entrusting him with new roles and pledged to take the association to greater heights.
Mugume revealed that the Association started in 2006 with few members but now has over 28 members with assets worth Shs100m including a piece of land and plots in the municipality.
