The minister of state for planning Amos Lugoloobi has tabled the budget estimates for the next financial year 2022/2023 of 47 trillion shillings.
The proposed budget for the next financial year is set to increase from 44.7 trillion shillings in this financial year to 47 trillion shillings.
The minister of state for planning Amos Lugoloobi says that the budget for the next financial year is projected to increase after the government finalized signing the Final Investment Decision on Oil which now requires them to build a refinery, build the pipeline and also construct the airport.
Lugoloobi also says that they plan to pay 400 million shillings to increase the pay of scientists.
He says , they plan to spend over one trillion shillings in implementing the parish development model.
Lugoloobi however says that most of the money will go to financing loans and paying interests and only 25 trillion shillings is available to the government for spending.
