Haji Yunus Kakande, the Secretary in the Office of the President has clarified that the new Masaka City, Resident City Commissioner (RCC) is Katende Ronald but not Kasekende Ronald.
Following the appointment of new Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) and RCCs last Wednesday, there has been confusion especially on social and main stream media regarding the identity of the newly appointed Masaka City RCC.
Some people have been claiming that Kasekende, a National Unity Platform (NUP) member was the new Masaka RCC.
However, according to Haji Kakande, Katende, a former Speaker for Njeru Town Council in Buikwe district is the new Masaka RCC.
“Stop confusing the two names. Katende Ronald is the newly Appointed RCC for Masaka City but not Kasekende Ronald,” Haji Kakande told Watchdog Uganda.
