STATE LODGE, NAKASERO: President Museveni has said government is ready to cooperate with the Czech Republic in the three fields of Agriculture, Health and Defense.
The President was yesterday meeting the visiting Czech Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister H.E. Martin Tlapa who called on him at State Lodge, Nakasero.
The envoy who is in the country on a three-day visit was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Gen. JeJe Odongo. Members of his delegation included the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Uganda H.E. Martin Klepetko and the Junior Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Mr. Marek Svoboda.
The Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Uganda Mr. Stephen Mpuuga Kaboyo and officials of the Czech Embassy based in Nairobi were also present.
H.E. Martin Tlapa expressed their gratitude for the warm hospitality accorded to them the moment they stepped in the country.
He told the President of his government is interested in promoting trade and investment between the 2 countries as well as cooperate in the sectors of Agriculture, Health as well as in Defense. He said his government is ready to offer COVID-19 vaccines to Uganda.
“Thank you for the hospitality of your people from the moment we stepped in the country. We are ready to cooperate in sectors of Agriculture, Health and Defense as well as boost business and economic ties,” he said.
