Makerere University has phased out 18 undergraduate courses.
In a letter dated 25 March, 2021, the office of the Vice Chancellor said following the council approval of re-structuring of undergraduate programmes, they decided to phase out some courses and they shall not be advertised for academic year 2021/2022.
“The principals of colleges are reminded to submit curricula for the restructured programmes for consideration by senate as soon as possible and in any case not later than 15 May, 2021,”the office of the Vice Chancellor told the institution’s Academic Registrar.
Here are the 18 courses that have been affected:
1.Bachelor of library and information sciences
2.Bachelor of achieves and records management
3.Bachelor of science in construction management
4.Bachelor of Community psychology
5.Bachelor of arts in development economics
6.Bachelor of science in Telecommunication engineering
7.Bachelor of computer engineering
8.Bachelor of environmental science
9.Bachelor of science in metrology
10.Bachelor of Development studies
11.Bachelor of adult and community education
12.Bachelor of business statistics
13.Bachelor of science in Population studies
14.Bachelor of Science in Quantitative economics
15.Bachelor of Science in Wildlife health and management
16.Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Land use and management
17.Bachelor of Science in Horticulture
18.Bachelor of Industrial and Organisational Psychology
