Joseph Tamale Mirundi who was admitted to hospital last week in a critical condition is recuperating, according to our people who have visited him.
Mirundi who has spent over two weeks bedridden had refused to be admitted to any Ugandan hospital allegedly in fear for his life that ‘mafia’ could use that chance to finish him off. He was later convinced to seek medical attention at the Catholic founded hospital Kisubi along Entebbe Road.
Following his orders, no one was allowed to visit him even some of him family members are being blocked. However, it emerged that the former president’s spokesman did not have resources to pull through his worsening condition.
The intervention of tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia and President Museveni secured the health bills of self confessed Museveni’s barking dog.
On Monday, a photo of an improved Mirundi reading a newspaper surfaced on social media, fueling rumors that he could be discharged soon.
“If all goes to plan, we shall discharge the former presidential aide this week,” a source told Watchdog Uganda.
