Police in Kabale is hunting for suspects that broke into offices of Kabale University and stole at least 16 computers and their central processing units.
The burglary and theft allegedly occurred at unknown time of the night of 19/11/19 by unknown thugs.
On Thursday morning, staff found the offices of the university registrar and director post graduate school had no padlocks. Upon scrutiny, they found out that one computer had been stolen from each of them plus fourteen (14) others from computer lab two where thieves gained entry through a back window.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi police spokesperson has conformed the incident.
According to Maate, the stolen computers like any other university properties are engraved with letters KAB.
This case has been registered at Kabale police under file number SD 05/20/11/2019 .
