Atleast 104,000 candidates across the country have started writing their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations today.
Last year, 99,672 candidates registered to sit the exams compared to 102,007 in 2017.
According to the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Executive Secretary Daniel Odongo, the students have been registered to sit for the exams from 1,900 centers.
800 scouts have been recruited to monitor exams.
The candidates start with History and Mathematics. The exercise will be climaxed with Fine Art on December 2, 2019.
