Two senior four candidates have been killed in a motor accident along Hoima-Tonya road.
The deadly accident that happened on Tuesday evening, involved a motor vehicle registration number UBF 040W Toyota Hillux double cabin and a motorcycle registration number UDP 413Q.
According to the Albertine regional police spokesperson Julius Hakiza, the motorcycle was being ridden by one Alfred Avutia, a resident of Bulemwa cell in Hoima municipality who died on spot.
“They were all heading in the same direction. The car hit the cyclist who lost control then knocked three pedestrians killing two on spot,” said Hakiza.
The deceased pedestrians were identified as Daphine Kabahumuza, 16 and Bridget Tushabe, 17. They were all students of Universe College School and residents of Bulemwa cell in Hoima Municipality.
“At the time of the accident, the students were from sitting their final Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams heading back to their respective homes,” said Hakiza.
