A South Sudanese refugee has shot a senior Police officer identified as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ian Natukunda.
The incident happened on Saturday morning in Palorinya Refugee Settlement camp.
The suspect allegedly grabbed a gun from a female constable before shooting Natukunda in the chest over unclear reasons.
He was rushed to Moyo Hospital for treatment and later airlifted to Kampala for better treatment.
Josephine Angucia, the West Nile region Police Spokesperson who confirmed the incident revealed that the asylum seeker also shot other people who were also admitted to Moyo Hospital.
