Uganda on Tuesday held the 21st National Prayer Breakfast where leaders including President Yoweri Museveni, Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and Uganda Parliamentary Fellowship chairperson David Bahati called good morals among office holders.
In his speech, minister Bahati said it was because of character that our very own President Yoweri Museveni, led a force that started with only 27 men to liberate this country and prosper it.
‘It is character that helped Nelson Mandela to inspire and fire up his country to rise up against Apartheid. It is character that moved Abraham Lincoln to lead America and the world to end the moral tragedy of slavery. It is character that convicted Mother Theresa to champion the cause and compassion that saved millions of poor people,’ he added before calling on Ugandans to develop the true virtues of leadership and espouse them at all times, if we are to fulfill God’s chosen purpose and calling of our Generation.
