Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI) has unveiled his parents to his followers for the first time.
This happened on Friday during his Annual Independence prayer night at Namboole Stadium.
During the service, Bugingo introduced his parents Aloysius and Jane Bugingo to the jubilant congregation.
Both his parents are Rwandans who live in Rwanda.
Mr Bugingo senior told followers that his son is a Ugandan becuase he was born and raised in Masaka.
“My son is a pure Ugandan. He was born at Masaka Hospital in 1970. His mother and I went back to Rwanda and left him with our relatives,” he said.
At the same prayer night, Bugingo also introduced his new girlfriend Susan Makula Nantaba to his parents who welcomed her to the family.
Early this year, the HPMI lead preacher told his followers that he has to marry Makula whether Ugandans like it or not as he scoffed at those who think that he will reconcile with his wife Teddy Naluswa Bugingo saying it was high time they stopped dreaming.
Makula is an employee at Salt Radio and TV and the couple started dating way back in 2016.
In May 2019, Bugingo’s marriage hit the rocks when he openly accused his wife [Teddy] of conspiring to steal his Church land as well as trying to kill him.
Teddy has since denied the allegations saying that Bugingo is just tarnishing her name simply because she refused to sign the divorce papers.
