Mutesi Namuwaya Amin, a widow to former Uganda Uganda President Idi Amin Dada has passed on.
Namuwaya passed away on Wednesday evening after a long illness.
By the time of her death, she was staying in Busembatia town council, Busoga sub region.
Namuwaya is the second widow of Amin to die.
In 2015, Sarah Kyolaba died from London’s Royal Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Kyolaba was the fifth and reputedly favourite wife of Amin.
With a famously roving eye, the man who claimed to have fathered some 43 children plucked Kyolaba from obscurity at the age of 19 while she was a performer for the uniquely titled Revolutionary Suicide Mechanised Regiment Band of the Ugandan Army. Their lavish wedding was graced by former Palestine President Yasser Arafat who was also the best man.
