Christianity Focus Centre’s Bishop David Livingstone Kiganda survived the fatal car accident because of the ‘supernatural power of the Holy Spirit’, his wife Cindy has said.
Bishop Kiganda was on Wednesday afternoon involved in an accident after the tyre of the Lexus registration number BISHOP 1 he was traveling in with three other people burst.
He was travelling to Luwero to for a crusade.
Witnesses say the car over turned about four times.
“I want to say to everybody who is worried out there, everybody who is praying, and wondering what is going on; Bishop David Livingstone Kiganda is alive. He is well. We thank God for his life,” she said in a Facebook Live video shared late Wednesday evening.
“My husband today got an accident, a very terrible one, but Glory to God, he came out alive. He is well. I want you to know that we serve a miracle working God. We serve a true God. I am just praising God. When you look at the pictures, you cannot expect anyone to come out alive from such a car. We are grateful to God. I thank the Holy Spirit for protecting my husband’s life. The doctors are busy monitoring him, he is resting. This is a miracle. The devil has failed. I cannot be a widow at this age, God has said no to it,” she added.
Who is Bishop Kiganda?
Bishop David Kiganda is the Founder and President of Christianity Focus Centre whose Headquarters are situated in Kampala City, Uganda, East Africa.
He is also General Overseer of more than 80 other Church branches which are situated across the nation under the same administrative leadership.
He is the Founder and Executive Director of Christianity Focus Grammar School: a center for 420 needy Orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda located at Budaali, Namayumba, Wakiso District.
According to the website www.christianityfocuscentre.org, David Kiganda got born-again in July 1987, under the preaching efforts and leadership of the Late Apostle Deogracious John Balabyekkubo and Dr. Joseph Sserwadda both then pastors of Victory Christian Centre, Kibuye Kampala.
After serving in his mother church for some years and attending various Bible training programs, conferences and seminars, he started the Christianity Focus Ministries in 1990 with a vision of planting and empowering churches, advocating and agitating for the five-fold ministries to take roots in the church as it is written in the Bible book of Ephesians 4:12.
In 2000, he was elected the Divisional Chairman of the National Fellowship of Born-again Pentecostal Churches – Uganda, Kampala Central Division.
ln July 2005, he was elected District Chairman Overseer of the entire, NFBAPC-U, Kampala District.
Bishop Kiganda is expected to address the general public on Thursday.
