Police in Rubanda district is investigating circumstances under which a casual laborer allegedly hanged himself.
The deceased, Kanyesige Junior Rubarema, 25 years old from Hamurwa Sub county hanged himself in an Eucalyptus forest in Murutenga, Mutakyengwa village Ruhonwa parish on Saturday night at unknown time.
According to the Kigezi region spokesperson Elly Maate, the deceased was discovered by children who were searching for firewood.
The body was taken by police to Kabale referral hospital for postmortem.
Maate told Watchdog Uganda that police will later handover the body to relatives for burial in Rugongora cell, Kitojjo parish in Rwamucucu sub county of Rukiga district.
This case has been registered at Hamurwa under file number SD 02/01/09/2019.
