Take your jokes those ends – Comedian Lubwama feels wrath of People Power fans

Rubaga South legislator Kato Lubwama had it rough with online People Power activists after giving himself the title of ‘People Power chairperson Buganda region’.

It’s not clear if the legislator is eyeing for a position in the pressure group led by Kyadondo East representative Robert Kyagulanyi or he was just cracking a joke, but he shared an alarming tweet that read ‘People Power chairperson Buganda region say so….seen? Keep it on @b24tv today.’

Earlier, the legislator had posted photos of himself with other People Power leaning politicians at a function organised by Kawempe South legislator Mubarak Munyagwa decked in red that has come to be associated with People Power.

He captioned it to imply that when in Rome do as Romans do.

“I’ll soon be updating you on all new developments, in my new capacity as chairman People Power Buganda region,” he added

This came as a surprise to many tweeps because Lubwama has always alleged that People Power was filled with criminals and hopeless people. Others wondered why Joel Ssenyonyi, the official People Power spokesperson didn’t to make an announcement of Lubwama’s ‘appointment’.

It was no surprise that Ssenyonyi joined other tweeps to troll the legislator.

“People Power chairperson Buganda region???? For more of such jokes, dial *999#,” Ssenyonyi said.

Tweeps couldn’t rest the case as they advised Lubwama to try his jokes in NRM because he isn’t welcome to People Power movement.

Some comment read,

Nicholas Katongole: Now this one. We People Power we distance our self from such stupid people.

Sarah Kyobe: Since when! The last time I saw you, you were saying the People Power are night dancers, witchdoctors and failures on Uncut, do not tell us that you’re failure too and….

Kampala Central Nite Life: Please find your level, people power is above you, Please try NRM.

Bobby Elly: When you ate money for @NRMOline you become very stupid, I used to love you as my area MP but not anymore.

Son of Karafa: Am so sorry Mr but you are not funny at all and you better rest.

Mike the Florist: This man stated taking Sacket waragi.

Mayaja Aloysious: Why haven’t Joel Ssenyonyi made an official communication regarding your appointment?
