Nandala Mafabi, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Secretary General has asked Democratic Party (DP) President Norbert Mao to stop showing his face on nbs political show ‘the frontline’.
Appearing on the same show on Thursday, Nandala said he gets worried that everyday Mao does not go to the field to mobilize for his party but attends ‘the Frontline’ each week of the month.
“A whole President to be on the Frontline every Thursday? You should be in the field. Frontline should be for us secretary Generals or some people of lower ranks not you to be here,” Nandala lamented.
He also went ahead to accuse the DP President of being a mole who works for President Yoweri Museveni.
“Mao is purely part and parcel of NRM.”
However, in response Mao denied being in bed with the ruling party.
“Saying I‘m less of opposition doesn’t make you stronger besides, FDC has been operating inside DP. I can’t be lectured on how to be an opposition, we have been there consistently. I met Museveni in 1990, I am not in politics for money,” said Mao.
“I feel very insulted by Hon. Nandala Mafabi. I am a man of integrity and I have never been sighted in any monkey deals. If I was to say everything I know about people in the opposition, some people would be hiding.”
